Gutter Repairs, Gutter Cleaning – Portland, Oregon

I clean gutters at $1 per foot which includes debris removal from the roof, air blowing, pressure washing, and pictures to show that we did a great job so you don’t have to get up on the roof. The pressure washer is nice because it gets everything clean and I shoot the wand in all of the downspouts to clear them of any clogged debris.  When I’m done on the roof I go around the house and clean any mess that I left behind and will pressure wash the outside of the gutters, the siding and whatever else got dirty from the job.  I have a 130.00 minimum. 503-432-9093

If you have a super crazy dangerous job then it may be more then 1$ a foot but will be happy to drop off a bid.

Take a look at this video I made which indicates and shows how I clean gutters and downspouts.  As you can see, the pressure washing method for gutter cleaning is by far superior as it gets everything pristine and clean!  Scooping out by hand or with a scooper leaves debris left behind which can clog your downspouts.

Tree Debris In Your Gutters?

If you have heavy tree debris around your house and your cleaning your gutters out a lot more then necessary, then you may want to try out a gutter guard system.  I have tested just about everything on the market and these are the best.  I have only seen 3 or 4 working systems, everything else just gets in the way, doesn’t work, and makes it more difficult to clean out the gutters.  There are a lot of gimmicks out there.  So what I have seen to work for people are the Rainflow, Gutter Filters, The triangular foam type filters from Costco or Fred Meyer and of course Leaf Guard.  Gutter systems are pretty spendy and they don’t always work so I will not guarantee them, but I will guarantee my work.  So the gutter cleaning, and installation of the system is guaranteed.  I will not guarantee however the functionality of the system.  If you have questions or want a bid, please call, conversation and bids are free.  503-432-9093

Gutter Guards and Gutter Filters

Ask about our gutter filters (and gutter guards) and browse our photos to see them in action. They are hands down the best thing on the market for keeping debris out! Gutter Filters allow the water to flow like it should by keeping leaves, sticks and other junk out. They are a double ply system that allows only water to permeate, not debris. I have narrowed the gutter covers down to 3 that actually work out of the many that I have seen.  There are a lot of gimmicks out there and if a gutter cover claims that it is maintenance free be very weary.  There is no such thing.  The three that work are as follows.

1. Gutter filters.  The positives are that they are cheap and effective, very cheap.  The negatives are that they are only designed to work for about 4 to 5 years and wear out faster in direct sunlight.  There are some pictures in my gallery here to the right, they are the brown covers you see over the gutters.  They are a double ply system that allows only water in.

2. Rainflow gutter guards.   Positives include a long lasting product, low maintenance, and they are priced in the middle or what you would expect a great working gutter guard to be priced at.  They run about 8 bucks a foot installed.  The negatives are that they can squish down, they can tear, and weeds love to grow in them if the roof is not treated for moss properly.  Regular roof treatments for moss will deter weeds from growing in your gutters.   See the photo to the right here of the Rainflow, it is the black mesh type thing there in the gutter.  I have also created a you tube video comparing Rainflow to the Gutter Filter on a Cedar roof.  http://youtu.be/5eyIoHoiu0A.  Also check them out at Rainflowusa.com

3. Gutterdome gutter guards.  These are hands down the best of the three and guaranteed not to let any debris into the gutter.  There is very light maintenance which is to brush them off with a pole and a brush about once a year or when you see a problem area.  They are to last as long as the gutters or as long as you own the house as they are very resilient and made from good quality light metal.  The only negative to these, are that they are expensive.  It is an investment, but it could be a wise one indeed.  If you are interested in these, I would have to come out and give you a bid and show you a sample.  See the picture here to the right in the gallery, they are the metal type gutter covers. Also, you can check them out at Gutterdome.com
