What to expect when we clean your roof and gutters!

Wednesday, December 7th, 2011

Here are some instructions for customers, specifically for when we are coming to your house to clean your roof.

First, please know that this is a messy job and there will be debris.

Please move anything that you do not want to get dirty, cars, lawn chairs and furniture, shoe racks, barbq’s, dogs, etc. We do a good job with cleanup and we will go around the house with the pressure washer and leave the house cleaner then when we got there – but we will not clean debris out of the yard and garden as we are not set up for landscape. Basically we will clean all the hard surfaces including but not limited to driveways, walkways, siding, windows, gutters, decks, etc. I prefer that the customer is home when we work so that way we can get the approval of the customer before we leave. Whether you are home or not, please move or cover things that you do not want dirty. Also, leave one of the water outlet spickets on so that we can run the pressure washer for cleanup and if you want you can leave your yard debris can out so we can put debris in it.

Thanks! Much appreciated!

Question: Is moss harmful if left alone?

Wednesday, September 15th, 2010

A guy asked me yesterday what would happen if he just left the moss on his roof.  He was wondering if moss was harmful or would do any damage if left untreated.  Great question.  Moss will retain water, root itself into the shingles and eventually all the way through them and into the wood below, and it will grow in the cracks lifting and seperating the shingles.  Moss will compromise the life of your roof no question.

The perfect customer-customer of the year.

We at Jnr Industries specialize in roof cleaning and roof maintenance and its most of what we do.  We are very good and knowledgeable with the right skills, attitude, tools, and work ethic.  We are not the cheapest but we are charging fair prices and its my goal for people to feel like they got a good value after we are done.  The perfect customer knows that we are the experts, lets us work and trusts that we will do what we are paid to do.  Please, there is no need to follow me around when I am trying to work.  I like the customer that asks questions from time to time and checks in with me from time to time.  Sometimes its best when the customer is not home and arrives when we are almost done or when we are completely done.  I have cleaned thousands of roofs and I do a good job cleaning up the mess.

Our gutter filter and guard recommendations -

Tuesday, August 17th, 2010

There are a lot of gutter systems out there that just don’t work.  We have narrowed it down to 2 systems that keep debris (even pine needles) out and let water in! Gutter Filters and the Rainflow gutter guards are much more effective in keeping debris out of your gutters; they are a double ply system that allows only water in. Call for a free estimate.  Gutters that are full of debris are very likely to pull out in sections causing water to dry rot the fascia boards and beams. If you install gutter filters on your Northwest home, you are much more likely to prevent that issue from occurring. Don’t go another northwest rainy season without them.
