We are coming to your home, here’s what to expect!
Here are some instructions for customers, specifically for when we are coming to your house to clean your roof.

First, please know that this is a messy job and there will be debris.
Please move or cover anything that you do not want to get dirty, cars, ponds, fountains, lawn chairs and furniture, shoe racks, barbq’s, dogs, etc. We do a good job with cleanup and we will go around the house with the pressure washer and leave the house cleaner then when we got there – The debris out of the yard and garden is just compost that falls from the sky naturally and will compost out and the lawn mower is great for picking up dead moss. The bid does not reflect mowing your yard or raking the gutter debris out of the landscape as we are not landscapers but we can do that if we are to be paid for it. The bid does however, reflect cleanup of all hard surfaces and I guarantee you will be happy with our cleanup. Like I said before, we leave it cleaner and brighter then when we first got there. Roof cleaning is a very messy job which requires pressure washing for cleanup.

Basically we will clean all the hard surfaces including but not limited to driveways, walkways, siding, windows, gutters, decks, etc. I prefer that the customer is home when we work so that way we can get the approval of the customer before we leave. Whether you are home or not, please move or cover things that you do not want dirty. Also, leave one of the water outlet spickets on so that we can run the pressure washer for cleanup and if you want you can leave your yard debris can out so we can put debris in it.

Roof Moss Removal – Portland, Oregon faq.

It causes severe long term damage in worst cases requiring replacement of either roof sections or parts of sidewalks and driveways. The good news is that it is not difficult to deal with as long as you stay on top of the problem.

Moss is a major problem in both roofs and concrete. If you watch the show, Life After People, it shows that in all cases moss and lykin are the first things in nature that starts to break down structures. No joke! If we were not around moss would break apart our streets and structures by rooting itself into it, further allowing growth of larger plants, grass and trees. Ive seen moss destroy roofs, but there is a simple solution and its called annual maintenance. A treatment once a year in most cases will deter moss from even growing in the first place and will keep your roof looking clean. To be very honest with you, multiple roof cleaning jobs is not the best thing for your roof. If done right, a few times is harmless. I have 10 years plus experience as a roof cleaner and have a non pressure washing brushing method followed by a treatment. There are cases where brushing is not the way to go and certain types of moss require low pressure, high water. I can wash a roof with a gentle touch, so gentle, that I can put my hand in front of the tip while spraying. Its enough to clean the roof, but not enough to do any kind of damage what so ever. The low pressure washing high water is the best method to use if you are going for the brand new roof look or you are selling your house. Trust me on this, if you want your roof looking brand new, have it washed by us or someone who knows how to safely do it. The brush will not take off the black mold and algae stains, the low pressure washer will. After the first initial roof cleaning investment, you should be able to have your roof treated once a year for a lot less money. Do it preferably when you get your gutters cleaned out.

Portland Oregon Leak Repairs Done Right By Jnr – If you have a leak in your roof, or you think you may have a possible leak we will find it. The way we find leaks is through a full inspection. First, we climb up in the attic or crawl space with a flashlight and camera. Then we find the leak, and take photos of the leak and any other issues that we see while up there. Once, we know exactly what the leak is doing in the house and where exactly it is coming from, we then get up on the roof and figure out exactly what is causing the leak. From there, we are able to formulate a bid. We have a 100% success rate with fixing and leak repairs in Portland Oregon and surrounding areas. My philosophy with leak repairs is to start small and work our way up the ladder. Usually its a pipe vent/boot that has worn out or some valley metal that was not installed right. In any case, we are not going to tell you that you need a complete or partial tear off which can get very spendy. Lets start out small and fix exactly what it is. For now, this service is free, which is rare because not too many licensed roofers want to climb around on your roof and inside your attic for free, not to mention drive out to your house using gas and time. Also, once I have figured out the roof leak, its a lot less work for other roofers as half of the job is done. Just keep in mind that I am honest, licensed and bonded, full workers comp on my employees and have a 100% success rate for finding and fixing leaks. I will guarantee my work for the life of the roof, so the part that I fix will never leak again or your money back.

1) Some of our downspouts drain directly into our yard, where we grow tomatoes and strawberries. Does the Wet & Forget label specifically say it’s OK to be on food producing soil?

Answer: To be very honest, the to treat a roof directly after the roof has been cleaned is a waste of treatment. It is more important to treat the roof a year from this spring. The following years are going to give you the most bang for your buck, preventative maintenance treatments. I have never seen Wet and Forget kill any kind of plant life but just to be on the safe side we can use the worry free by Lilly miller. It is made up of vinegar and citric acid, it only works when we can use a lot so you are looking at 3 times the amount of product to treat the roof. The cost of the treatment will triple as stuff is more expensive and will require a lot more of it for it to work properly.

2) There are screens on our gutters which are very important for Autumn. Can your cleaning process avoid disturbing the gutter screens?

Answer: The gutter screens we can easily work around. I will not take them out, clean the gutters then put them back in. Unless of course you want to pay for it, as that is not included in the bid. I will however, clean the debris from the tops of the screens. Removing screens, cleaning the gutters out, then reinstalling them is a job all by itself or separate job. If we have to do that, the gutter system that you have is not working properly and should be taken off.

Jesse,

Thank you so much for the pictures. The roof looks fabulous, just like new as you said it would. Everyone thought the house needed a new roof, but it is actually a thirty year roof and only five years old.

Was it Kevin who cleaned the roof? He gets my vote for employee of the year. The poor guy probably had hypothermia by the time he was done with temperatures in the 30′s and wet snow falling a good part of the day. What a worker! Kudos to Kevin! We will certainly keep you in mind if our own house needs the roof cleaned and will recommend you to anyone who needs moss removed.

Again, thank you so much

This is something that I have never understood. Example; I gave a super low bid for some gutter cleaning to a customer, explained the method, licensed and bonded, how long Ive been doing it, etc. She said she wanted to get other bids. This bid I gave her was half the price of what I normally give which was around the hundred dollar range. I dont understand it because getting other bids is a waste of everyones time, especially hers. To me its like when you are at the grocery store and salt is 88 cents and you want to see if its cheaper somewhere else knowing that 88 cents is a good deal. You start to go to cheap and bad things start happening meaning you get what you pay for.

Happy hollidays from JNR. Lets have a safe year.

December 22nd, 2011

We all slow down after christmas so why not have your roof cleaned at a fraction of the cost? We are cleaning roofs right now for cheap so save money! People always say the same thing, well we are going to wait until it gets a little warmer to have our roof cleaned. NO! Everyone thinks like that so when we are slammed and in demand, our prices go up to fair, or what we need to get to stay in business. Simple supply and demand. We want to work and keep you happy.

I get flooded with calls from you guys. I have been doing this long enough to see through the BS and know what you are talking about. Usually you give me indirect answers to my direct questions. The thing is, if I am even slightly interested in what you are selling, I will talk to you in a professional way. What I dont understand is that instead of me being rude to you and hanging up on you, when I say that Im not interested and thank you for the call, you hang up on me as if I am the one calling bothering you wasting your time. You called me remember. Id like to be treated as if you are actually someone who is a professional. I call a spade a spade and 99% of the time, its a bunch of nonsense.
