Get your roof cleaned for cheap with the JNR winter discount.

Wednesday, February 29th, 2012

I will beat any price for roof cleaning as long as the other company is on the same playing field that I am on. A company must have three things to be legal. They are a CCB#, workers comp insurance, and license with the department of agriculture for the treatment. Its very simply put, if you hire a fly by night unlicensed company to clean your roof you are liable for any problems, like if someone falls off your roof you will lose more then just your house most likely. Our legal licensing is for you and your piece of mind. After I drop off a bid, please let me know about whatever it would take to get your business. We would love to be able to work for you.

JNR Portland Oregon Roof Cleaning breaks down the most important aspect of roof cleaning. Hands down!

Whether we brush or low pressure wash the moss off of your roof, the most important thing is to have regular annual treatments for moss at least once a year. Once the moss is off the first time, you should never have to worry about it even growing back. Regular maintenance is by far the best thing for your roof and will save you the most money in the long run.

What to do when getting your 3 bids for your roof cleaning or roof maintenance job. From Q & A

Monday, February 13th, 2012

4) What should I look for when getting my 3 bids for my roof cleaning or roof maintenance job?

Answer:  Good Question!

 1.  Make sure the person or company is licensed with the CCB.  The Oregon Contractors Board makes it really easy to check.  All you have to do is go to this page, http://www.oregon.gov/CCB/  and type in the contractors CCB# where it says contractor search.  It will let you know if they are active or not.  Plain and simple, if you hire someone who is not licensed, you take all the responsibility.  If they get hurt, there is a good chance you will lose more than just your house.  CCB#’s require, that’s right REQUIRE, 1 million in liability and an insurance bond, for more than just your piece of mind.

2.  As a roof cleaner or a roof cleaning company, one must be licensed by the Oregon Department of Agriculture if any kind of treatment application is applied.  It does not matter what it is, even if its just hand soap that they claim to kill moss, they would still need the license.  A good phone # for the DOA to check a license is 503-986-4550.

3.  If they have employees, they will need to show workers compensation on their employees.  If they are operating as a sole proprietor and have no help, then they would not need to have workers compensation.

Be hard headed and soft hearted. Unsettling disruptive times are times of opportunity. Take risks or be willing to take risks. Be confident but realistic. Bless your children. Marriage is not two people looking into each others eyes, its two people looking at the same place. Go through life lookin through the front windshield not the side or rear mirrors. Do things for the purpose, not just for yourself or the money. Accepts bad news, be an active listener be humble. Growth is uncomfortable. Always know you can make a difference in everything.

Roof color matching faq- What we do to match the roofs color as there are hundreds of different types of composition roofing material. We get a piece of the roof, pressure wash it if its dirty so we can get an exact color match and take it in to a roofing supply warehouse. The experts of the roofing warehouse will be able to match the roofing material to the exact make and manufacturer. In some cases, the roofing material is out dated and the manufacturer is no longer around. In this case, we will match it as close as possible.
